1. even after 72 hours it keep says
==> Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Network lag encountered. Try again few hours later.

if you can upload it to dropbox box.net google site one drive and many other serves for free !!

if you can’t just give my the file i’ll put it in my vps for you

1. There are many others who successfully installed them. The files needs my script which resides on my nas for further installations. These are not standard debian builds, mostly manually cross compiled. I do have other higher priority jobs running on my nas. The lag could be from either of our devices (use “top” to watch your cpu usage and iowait) but definitely not from my 1Gbps network.

2. Help me please:

What is it:

2. I took the instructions here: Transmission v2.84 for firmware V4 It does not work WDMyCloud:~# export NAZAR78_USER=хххх WDMyCloud:~# export NAZAR78_PASS=хххх WDMyCloud:~# curl nazar.bagus.org/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1 |sh; % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 186 100 186 0 0 205 0 –:–:– –:–:– –:–:– 205 sh: line 1: html: No such file or directory sh: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token <' 'h: line 2:307 Temporary Redirect

1. You took the instructions from the WD forum but the link is wrong? Note the change of domain 🙂

3. still same error “Estimated 965.88MBytes left after installing. Proceed? () Y

have you consider using ( archive.us ) ?

also i have a full server i can help you with the bandwidth problem 🙂

1. I’m on 1Gbps fibre optic symmetric (both downloads and uploads) at home so I don’t need any other VPS 😛

1. I did some checking on your request IP 5.156.146.*. Your ISP is not proxied but I noticed your ISP is very slow. This page http://www.stc.com.sa/ took forever to load and the trace route timeout as soon it enters SA region. This could be the cause of this lag. Please check at your end. My end seems ok.

1. It is for free, but my internet is not! 😛 You’ll need the installer to install them. Because you wouldn’t be able to install them even if you have the package as it’s not standard Debian builds. Many others successfully installed them directly from my WDMyCloud NAS with this method. I was thinking of helping you by remote to your nas but since you’ve gave up, try to build it from source from the guide.

3. selam.
i bought wd my cloud.
but i don’t install transmission or others.
i read your pages but i don’t do it.
can you help me please with Skype or team viewer ?
skype :akemals42

thanks

1. terminal
ssh root@192.168.1.10
user:root password:welc0me
export NAZAR78_USER=user; N6Xqg
export NAZAR78_PASS=pass; 8PgKU
curl teanazar.com/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1|sh;

is that true ? i am afraid of brick my wd my cloud. 🙁

192.168.1.10 my ip. if you want i will give you my teamviever

1. Yes that’s correct. The install method by my scripts is completely safe. You will not brick your WDMyCloud with it. Just make sure the user/pass is correct. It’s renewed hourly.

export NAZAR78_USER=N6Xqg;
export NAZAR78_PASS=8PgKU;

1. It needs to be built/compiled with 64K page size memory patch.

1. Ok.
Are there same program ps3netsrv ?
İ want to load my game in my cloud.
Then i will open ps3netsrv folders.
Port 38800
Thanks for quick answers

1. WDMyCloud doesn’t support ps3netsrv. You will need to build ps3netsrv manually with 64K page size memory patch.

1. Sorry you’ll have to check with him because he built them. I don’t even own a PS 🙂

4. Salam Nazar,

thank you for this great work and excellent guides
I have installed transmission miniDlna and PyLoad and all of them work perfectly
if you have the time I was wondering if you can also compile a dropbox application fro the WD it would be great for users to collect their dropbox files on teh WDcloud and also keeps it synced selected folders with dropbox
the sourcecode for teh dropbox app is here
https://linux.dropbox.com/packages/nautilus-dropbox-2015.02.12.tar.bz2.gz
or from the Github
https://github.com/dropbox/nautilus-dropbox/archive/master.zip

Thanks in advance

1. No problem. I’ll try to take a look at the dropbox app. I’m currently using OwnCloud v8 on WDMyCloud.

1. hi
i installed transmission very quick.it is perfect.

how am i install own cloud v8 quickly ?

1. OwnCloud v8 needs much more modifications to the WDMyCloud. I’ll post it some other time.

2. Great thanks Nazar
do you mean OwnCloud v8 installed on the WDMyCloud directly or on a network machine
if there is possibility to install OwnCloud v8 on the WDMyCloud this would be a great thing to be done
will you be able to make a quick how to for it ?

1. Hi Diaa, yes I meant install OwnCloud v8 directly on WDMyCloud v4 firmwares (this WordPress blog is also running on WDMyCloud). But all these requires some work to be done. I’m still tweaking and testing. Will post the guides soon.

1. selam Nazar.
have you got a your owncloud photos ? and what are its specifications ? how will install it like any others (transmission) ?
for example will provide access to remote dashboard settings? i look forward this work.

2. Hi Nazar,

3. Salam Nazar,

5. hello again Nazar.
i installed payload 0.4.9 smoothly.
but i can’t access http://my ip:8000 adress
what is the problem ?
I tried what is written on the WD community, but not

1. /etc/init.d/pyload start

İ wrote this code to ssh terminal.
But i cannot access webgui

1. Hi Aksneo,

Please run:
service pyload restart||echo ERROR!
then try again from your internal WDMyCloud IP.

You can also check if the webGUI port 8000 is listening:
netstat -natp|grep 8000

1. After you started the service, check if the PID is active: ps -ef|grep -v grep|grep 29331

1. @aksneo

Not a problem. Your screenshot indicates pyload is running fine. You also posted on the WD forum, let’s continue from there.

1. Hi aksneo,

I can only help on the installation part but not usage as I’m not the app developer and I’m not using this app. I only help to build for our WDMyCloud from several people requesting it.

Please check with http://forum.pyload.org/.

1. hi Nazar again.
i want to delete complete pyload.
i wrote
dpkg -r pyload-cli;
but i missed stop the pyload.
some packages aren’t delete.
now.
can i install pyload your way directly ?
or i must do something before the install
http://i.hizliresim.com/6ZdN3k.png

1. dpkg -r doesn’t completely remove the package. You’ll need to use dpkg –purge for all the debs you see during the install.

2. Now
Will i write teminal ?

Dpkg -purge pyload-cli;

Then
export NAZAR78_USER=user;
export NAZAR78_PASS=pass;

curl teanazar.com/installer.fcgi?pyload-cli-v0.4.9|sh;

İs it true ?

3. I suggest you research more about Debian Linux before proceeding further as there’s a risk of bricking your NAS if not done properly. The easiest way to clean up PyLoad is to reinstall the firmware without messing with the libraries. If you insist to clean up manually, remove the files installed by my installer using the command dpkg --purge PACKAGE-NAME for the packages below:

libcurl3-gnutls
libgif4
libgmp10
libjbig0
liblcms1
liblept3
libtesseract3
libtiff4
libwebp2
libx11-6
libxext6
libxft2
libxrender1
libxss1
pyload-cli
python-crypto
python-imaging
python-openssl
python-pycurl
python-support
spidermonkey-bin
tcl8.5
tesseract-ocr
tesseract-ocr-eng
tesseract-ocr-equ
tesseract-ocr-osd
tk8.5
x11-common

Warning! I have not tested uninstalling PyLoad in the latest firmware.

4. can you write me all of the terminal codes about pyload ?
