Please be reminded that these installers are only meant for WDMyCloud single drive variant (firmware V4 and above), not Mirror/EX2/EX4 as I do not have those other devices to support them.   1. Hello, dear Nazar!
    I try to download but every time I got an error:
    Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Fail to validate request. Try again with a new ‘NAZAR78_KEYS’ from ‘http://teanazar.com/wdmycloud’.
    Maybe is there another way to install that?

    1. Hi Evgeny,

      Please try my alternate port 8245 as advised when you ran the installer. Most probably you’re behind a proxy.

  2. I’ve tried with port 8245 but the same, now I have following error message:
    Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Fail to validate request. Report to me your IP ‘109.188.125.16’ if you still have issues. If you’re behind web proxy, try my alternate port: curl teanazar.com:8245/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1|sh;

    Note: I don’t have any proxy, but my connection is not stable(LTE).

    1. Could be LTE is the reason as I can see there’s many successfully installs till now. Maybe you could try later during no-peak hours.

  3. Helo. I try install to Wd my cloud v04.01.04-422 pyLoad from this subj, but got erorr.

    WebGui does not work.

    How solve this troble?

  4. Dear Nazar, mistakenly let my WD 2GB with the option of automatic update.
    Now I have the vercion v04.01.04-422. and I can not see Transmission (http: // wdmycloud: 9091 /).
    I recommend I do?

    1. Hi AlmarillO,

      Once the firmware is upgraded, every mod will be lost so you’ll need to restore including Transmission.

      1. Try to make a system only restoration, but not working. vercion remains the same (v04.01.04-422).
        As I can down version?

        1. The system restore won’t downgrade or bring back your mods because the rootfs partition has been upgraded to the newer firmware. What I meant was to reinstall Transmission again.

  5. Hello. What about btsyck or sinkthing? Is there way to install this tools on wd my cloud v4.xx ?

    1. BTSync is a closed source code so we can’t produce the 64k pagesize memory patch for V4 firmwares. I’ve got Syncthing v0.11.7 running in V4 firmware but it’s not stable, frequently crashing. If there’s demand for beta Syncthing I would probably add it to the installer.

  6. Hi mate tried to install transmission and got this error:

    Checking resources…
    Downloading -> transmission_2.84-1 (2,498,914Bytes)…
    Error-8: Unable to retrieve required files! Server issued an error response.

    Tried again and got a latency warning,

    Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Network lag encountered. Try again few hours later.

    Waited a bit then tried again but now I’ve been permanently barred?

    teanazar.com: You 86.30.128.14 are the 3rd invalid request number 53 since my FastCGI was refreshed and started counting )-: WARNING! x3 strikes of invalid request per/hour and you will be temporarily banned for another hour! Unauthorized attempts is not tolerated and warrants permanent ban! You have been permanently banned from using this service due to unauthorized attempts on 2015/06/02 19:50:44 GMT+8!

    1. I reviewed my logs since the past few days and saw few installer requests from your IP. Unfortunately the last one which doesn’t look genuine caught my anti-bot permanent ban about an hour ago. Did you honestly run the commands as instructed? :p

      1. I thought I did. I retried the process after the first error but thought I could reuse the same credentials as I thought they were good for an hour.

        BTW I have a paid Dropbox account happy to host files for you if that helps.

        1. Yes you could use the same credentials within the hour but you still need the unique keys for every install process. Reason for the perm ban was the installer detects security token was generated not according to what it expected which is impossibly an error unless it was done manually. I’ve removed the ban for now. No worries I have lots of bandwidth and space to spare but still I need to implement all these to safe guard my network 🙂

                    3. Think I’ve found the issue. It’s the man path missing. I’ve fixed it. Try again.
