Please be reminded that these installers are only meant for WDMyCloud single drive variant (firmware V4 and above), not Mirror/EX2/EX4 as I do not have those other devices to support them.     1. Hi Laurent,

      There’s an email sent earlier to your PayPal email address (check your Spam filters). Use the donation credential in that email. Just copy & paste them into the terminal followed by the installer code of the app you want to install.

  3. Hello.
    I tried to get credentials for minidlna, but I couldn’t get them.
    After I saw ADs, this websight isn’t re-directed to status to key-in the code.

    Please help me to get credentials. Thanks.

    1. AdFly did some flawed changes at their end without considering the consequences, so make sure you disable any popup blockers. I did a quick fix at my side, please try again.

  4. Hi,

    Trying to download with no success and have myself a temp ban.

    I’ve donated and used my credentials but keep getting the error:

    1. Hello Chris,

      There’s nothing wrong with the installer, my records are showing quite a lot of installations just for today. But as stated, these installers are only meant for WDMyCloud single drive variant (firmware V4 and above). I might have solutions for you, please check your email.

    1. Ensure your MyCloud could update the system time and that the time is accurate. Check from the WD dashboard settings.

        1. Your error is still the same. Means your MyCloud has issues updating its system time using ntpdate service which you’ll need to resolve first, maybe something is blocking the update, try rebooting, I don’t know unless I look into your system. Contact me directly if you need personal assistance. JFYI there’s several successful installation in my records for the past few hours.

    1. You got the permanent ban even before entering the alternate port. My installer does not support proxy because it needs to have your actual public IP, not the proxy’s. Also some proxy seems to modify the request the reason you got the ban.

      I’ve removed the ban but I noticed that you will also go through a proxy when using the alternate port which sorry I can’t help unless I look into your system.

    I created public shares without problem, i can open them
    I created users with password
    I created private shares with user permission, i cannot access the private share with the authorized username and password.
    If I remove the passwords I can access the private share with the username
    How to keep access to private shares with password?

    1. That's strange, it should work as expected. Which OS you're using? If Windows, go to the “Control Panel”, “User Accounts” then “Manage Windows Credentials”, remove any entry with WDMyCloud or its IP occurrences then try accessing the password-protected private shares again. You can also try mapping the password-protected private shares to a drive and use the option “Connect using different credentials”. Or try using its IP simply run command prompt net use * \\192.168.1.x\ShareName /user:Username Password.

  8. Can you please tell me is there any downloader (like Internet download Managers on windows) I can use for myself
    I Have read descriptions of all apps I am confused which one I can use. If you can point me to right direction,
    I need to add download from http like qtorrent is available for torrents 🙂

    1. There are a few download managers for Linux like XDM, FlareGet, uGET but most known ones are Desktop based GUI and I’m not sure if they have a Web based GUI hence I have not tried building any of them for MyCloud.

          1. uGet uses GTK desktop UI, doesn't seems to have a Web UI, not sure I've never used this before. Think the closest you can get is aria2. I've used it before but as CLI though it has a Web UI support which requires the web files and a simple web server (the preinstalled Apache2 should do).

            As for your editing question, simply use 'nano' or 'vi'. Do some research on the WD forum and post your Linux questions there.

            1. So this aria2 support multi download or que optn or all from linklist (txt file)???? If yes can u help me install it and teach me or point to guide to learn creating 64k installer
              And how can I uninstall pyload totally ???
              Facing issue as soon as I add multiple links to the pyload it does not load any other page of pyload then have to kill pyload to restart again (was working earlier but mistakenly was downloading to rooftop but moved them after following ur post)
              And I Was thinking to try reinstallation as re-setup part did not helped
              And last question how to know what all pkg are installed on the drive
              Ps I have jst installed your pkgs only
              And I jst need the drive for downloading purposes (free downloading) which pkgs are for me can try cli too but gui is preferred

              1. For aria2, see the details here. There’s an old thread somewhere in the WD MyCloud forum on how to build 64K packages, just search for it if you’re keen to learn.

                To uninstall, use dpkg --purge pyload-cli. Note however this will not uninstall any of the dependencies (seen at the install screen) and it’s not recommended to remove them unless you know what you’re doing because some of the packages were upgraded. To revert all these, best is to reflash the firmware which will also clear your rootfs but data left intact.
