Please be reminded that these installers are only meant for WDMyCloud single drive variant (firmware V4 and above), not Mirror/EX2/EX4 as I do not have those other devices to support them.     1. You're doing it wrongly. NAZAR78_USER/PASS=MINIDLNA is incorrect. Read the F.A.Q. ?

  2. I unistalled bubbleupnp with command dpkg –purge , but when i try to access ip:58050 it is still running?
    Any help?

    1. Maybe the service was busy while uninstalling. Can you try killall -9 java 2>/dev/null; then try accessing the webUI again?

      1. I tried the command, when i access the webUI the firefox tab still says BubbleUPnP Server, but theres only a white page

        1. Ah that’s normal then. It’s your browser cache. Clear them or CTRL+SHIFT+F5 to force reload.

    1. You can install MySQL bundled from my WebHosting mods installer. Note I’ve set it to use local Unix socket for slight performance but you can easily enable the TCP port 3306 in the /etc/mysql/my.cnf to allow outside connection.

          1. Im sorry bout that. Video stutters in kodi now, it didnt used to, so I thought it had any connection with me removing ffmpeg.
            Anyway i can start from scratch with deleting video files?

            1. No worries, just letting you know 🙂

              The stuttering should not be related to any apps installed on My Cloud because Kodi is an external app which is only reading media data from the My Cloud thus no transcoding being done. Hence ffmpeg is not related in any way.

              Just to clear your doubts, check if the MyCloud CPU usage is high by using top; command and if it is, which app hogging the CPU. You can also try restarting My Cloud but I suspect it’s from Kodi’s PC host.

              1. I just dont know, it keeps stuttering, i dont see no process using much cpu.
                If I factory reset, can i start fresh like when it was new?

                1. If you suspect your rootfs is corrupted, a factory reset won't help because your rootfs was already modified which I'm not sure what other modifications you've made other than from my installers. Instead, download the latest v4 firmware manually from WD's download support section website, then update it through the WD Dashboard. Once done, you may try doing a factory reset if it persist but you'll have to recreate all users and shares although your data remains intact. Warning don't do the wrong reset, IIRC there's 3 types of reset in the WD Dashboard (I seldom use the Dashboard), should be the 2nd where your data will not be wiped or you can just easily press on the rear red button for 40secs. Either way it's good to have a backup 🙂

  4. Hi nazar thanks for the previous answer in regarding pyload.
    So I’m currently running .minidlna ,transmission and pyload.my aim would be to build a crontab script that will close each of the services on shutdown of machine and relaunch all services on reboot. Would you be able to advise what code to use as I’m a relative noob to the world of network hard drives .

    1. This is quite complicated but achievable. First method is from MyCloud side to continuously ping your machine say every 5mins. If it’s reachable, start up those service else shut them down. Second method is to use batch or powershell script along with task scheduler to trigger the start up and shutdown of services on your MyCloud when the machine logon or logoff. The trigger can be done with SSH for windows or create a simple API on the Apache server with PHP to trigger the service start/stop.

    Is the Transmission Online Installer free?
    Why I’ve got following:

    Error-10: Unable to retrieve required files! As promised to my donors, they will be the first to receive newer builds. Retry using the permanent donation credentials from your DonationID if you have or wait till it’s released to the public in next few days.” ? Thanks.

    1. Obviously you’ve not been reading much :p Yes it’s free BUT for new release I’m giving top priority to my donors to get them first. The rest have to wait till almost all my donors have installed these newer builds.

  7. Could you release a new Crashplan 4.5.2 build please? Also, I’m seeing java take a lot of CPU when Crashplan 4.4.1 is running. Any suggestions to fix this?

    1. I’ll update soon, stay tuned. The CPU usage is normal when the process is active and it should go back to normal when it’s idle.

    I just update my WD-machine to newest firmware. I tried to install Transmission and MiniDLNA but I have problem…
    Please have a look at log below.

    1. I think your system time or time zone is off and can’t sync the time online. Go to the WD Dashboard and set your system time, manually if necessary.

        1. I’ve seen several installs today so no issues on my side. Are you able to run this? Then try again as the bans were cleared.

            i thought that my router is blocking port 123, unblocked it but still same issue.
            strange thing is that i don’t have file ntp.conf in /etc.

            maybe i have to make a full factory reset of wdmycloud… strange

            1. Couldn’t be the router blocking as ntp update is being used widely by nas, mac, windows and even the router itself. Could be your ISP, see if you could reach the time servers from other local devices such as PC.

              The installer needs precise timings to work with. Any big lag or delay caused by time off-synch will cause it to fail because the priority queues for anonymous credentials is lower.

  10. Where is username and password exactly? Spend an hours clicking about and all I’ve seen is ads and more ads, no credentials at all!
