Please be reminded that these installers are only meant for WDMyCloud single drive variant (firmware V4 and above), not Mirror/EX2/EX4 as I do not have those other devices to support them.   1. Hello,
    I’m getting this error when I try to install trasmission:
    Error-12: Unable to retrieve required files! Invalid, mismatched keys/app or already used ‘NAZAR78_KEYS=”XXXXXX”’ detected. Retry using the permanent donation credentials from your DonationID if you have or get a new anonymous credentials from ‘http://teanazar.com/wdmycloud/’.

    Any ideea how tofix this

    1. To generate the correct anonymous credentials via the captcha, go to the page from the list of apps above. Make sure it’s the correct “APP” you wanted e.g. you want to install Transmission, you should follow the app link above, follow the instructions on that link and end up here again seeing the captcha:

      Anonymous credentials for installer: TRANSMISSION

      Also note each installer request, despite fail or success, you’ll need to generate a new key for the correct “APP” each time. This applies to the anonymous credentials. You can skip all these captcha key generating if you have the donation credentials.

        1. I noticed you’ve opened two browsers. And one of it got into timeout in one of the sessions. Please close both browsers, then repeat the process.

  2. Hi Nazar,
    I have updated the firmware of my WD today.
    I had to stop the script because I forgot to restore the configuration files with the tar command:
    tar xf /shares/Public/transmission.tar.gz -C /;

    So I did a Ctrl-C of the script and then the tar.

    The problem is that from now I get the following error:

    Downloading -> transmission_2.84-1 (2,498,914Bytes)…
    Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Network lag or invalid request encountered. Retry using the permanent donation credentials from your DonationID if you have or try again few hours later.

    I have tried several times in different hours from the 37.11.238.16 IP address.

    1. Noticed you already started the download process but it didn’t complete because you said you did a Ctrl+C. So there’s nothing wrong anywhere except maybe some lag in the NAS or network. Just try again, your temp 1hr ban is already over. I also noticed you tried using the same ‘NAZAR78_KEYS’ twice which will not work. You’ll need a new set of anonymous credentials for each installer request even if it failed the first time.

    Trying to download transmission, but error:

    Tried many times, then get banned. After i made a donate, but still have same error… Also tried “curl teanazar.com:8245/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1|sh;” …

    i still have a question from a beginner of putty. i got your credential and do the export things but when i want to copy the program, i get a error message : “sh: syntax error: unexpected redirection” and i can t see where i m wrong.

      Which version of MyCloud firmware you’re using? Or was there any modifications done prior installing the WebHosting package? I recently installed on two MyCloud devices with the latest v4 firmware and no issues encountered.

    I have a donation id and if i try it more then 3 times i get a temp ban.

      I noticed your IP changes quite a few times. I’ve updated your IP for your DonationID, try now before your IP changes again. As a donor, once authenticated, you’re immune to temp bans (-:

        always get these:

        MyCloud is a fresh system. Just done a full restore before installing. :/

          Hmm strange, I assumed you’re on the latest firmware, could you retry? BTW I noticed you’re not using your DonationID, can you try once with your DonationID see if it’s fixed now?

          1. I tried it with the anonymus ID and with the DonationID same error with both.
            The MyClod is running with v04.04.01-112. Since now i tried it about 3-4 times and every time the same error.

            Is there any log file for the installation?

              Your Vodafone IP changes too frequently. Even though, I saw that you had successfully downloaded the webhosting packages twice.

              Please check your PayPal registered email, I’ll support you personally from there.

        Thx for your great work. Is there a posibility to use transmission client remote… i mean if i am not on my local network, can i command transmission to download torrent over the internet?

        1. Happy new year to you too! Yes of course you can. Forward port 9091 from your router to MyCloud then access using your public IP i.e. 123.123.123.123:9091. Look at my web hosting post here, the first part on how to set and remember your public IP by using dynamic DNS.

          If you decide to open Transmission to the Internet, I strongly suggest you also set credentials to it for privacy, refer to my recent reply on the Transmission thread on the WD forum.

          You could also use mobile apps such as “Remote Transmission”.

          1. I use Remote transmission but when i am not on my local network (wifi) if try to add new torrent for download the aplication dont do it and i thought i have to point somehow to transmission client from mycloud that its me the one who its trieng to acces it remote over the net .

            1. After forwarding port 9091, you then have to change Remote Transmission settings (under Parameters menu) to point it to your public IP (Google what is my IP).

              I can add torrents from both app and browser while away from home.

    I tried to install transmission but received the message that my key is used.

    I first made a donation from an external computer and tried to use the credentials from an other one.

    Can you update the ip please ?
