Tried to get login codes to instal MiniDLNA, but no code opera. I saw the video, but step by step not working. Any problem there?

I don’t have the EX2 ultra. For me to be able to make it compatible with other devices, I’ll need free time and full access permission from the device owner to work on it.

nice project! As I am also unhappy with the twonky dlna-server, I found your miniDLNA as working alternative in order to resume playback on samsung tvs – but I guess here you keep talking about another Firmware than I have.
I am using a WD mycloud EX2 ultra – running firmware 2.31.149 – do you have an idea, if I will get your code running on this system as well? Will it make my NAS unsafer than before for hacking?

My machine has always been up. There’s lots of installations up to date. It could be some IP range from your ISP got auto blacklisted due to spam/attacks hence you can’t connect. My MyCloud is protected by custom anti-bots and iptables. I won’t be lifting any blacklist, it’s there to stay unless it’s affecting my donors.

For the captcha, see the F.A.Q. also watch the video on how to get it done. You can’t get credentials directly from that page or if adverts were blocked.

Unfortunately It couldn’t because I controlled WDMC from outside of house by SSH
And I will try install this today since your machine wasn’t working for some days…

However this I am not able to access CAPTCHA to obtain credentials because it forward me to AD pop-up repeatedly even though I tried 15 times to enter

Check if your MyCloud can reach the internet.

I followed all instruction on your site and Tried to install Minidlna it won’t work, in previous version I successfully installed but this time I couldn’t

According to your post, The recent minidlna 1.2.0 is allowed to only donors and will be open to public after your release

So I tried to download old version 1.1.5 or 1.1.4 it also didn’t work even I could only see ‘Filed connect to teanazar.com;80…’ download speed is always zero…

Of course I tried this after obtaining proper credentials

I wasn’t able to reply to your feedback previously because the email I sent to your email address got bounced off think it was “invalid mailbox” error.

Unfortunately my installers only supports the 1st generation of the WDMyCloud with version 4.x as I do not have the newer generation device version 2.x to support.
