You are absolutely correct TeaNazar, marriage is work everyday and you get out of it, what you put into it. I have been married 17 years and we have had many trials and tribulations.

The one thing I have learned is to say to yourself, “Pick your battles wisely” … “Never sweat the small stuff” and in the scheme of life …. “It is all small stuff”.

Always back each other, never to proud to say, “I’m sorry” and always .. always Love each other and let your mate know that everyday.

In India we find long, very long marriages a very common thing. My parents are married for 35 years now!! I am celebrating 8th anniversary this may month. I feel just the same way you do, 8 years with Vinu (my wife) seems like yesterday I met her. We think flash in time is a good sign like we are celebrating each other (not bored of).
