In reply to James. Hi James, The path /root/Downloads is a symlink to /shares/Public/Transmission/Downloads. You should be able to change the location from the file '/root/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json'. Ensure you have stopped the daemon first transmission-stop, edit this file then restart transmission transmission-daemon.

Can you help me please to change repository folder in transmission, because when i finish the installation the default repository is “/root/Downloads” but this folder was created in the Public folder (“Public/Transmission/Downloads”), I need to change to another folder outside Public folder, I created a new folder “James/Downloads”outside Public folder and y tried to change the default repository in transmission (”/root/Downloads” to ”James/Downloads”) but don’t work, can you help me please

In reply to Clément. Firstly reflash your firmware again to revert the rootfs, then do a factory wipe from the WD Dashboard.

Hi!

First of all thank you so much for your awesome work with this WD device.
I have been using transmission and sickrage for a while and all worked like a charm.

In the near future, I will give my WDMyCloud to a friend since I have now another NAS.
However, before that, I would like to restore the WDMyCloud to its factory state (without any personal file and without any modification linked to the installation of transmission/sickrage).
Is there an easy way to restore the device to factory state?
